Jason Morrison, Lead Pastor
Jason Morrison moved to Murfreesboro to become the lead pastor of Westwood in fall 2008. He and his wife, Naomi, were married in 1999, and they have four children: Lydia, Chloe, Karis and Titus.
In addition to preaching and teaching at Westwood, Jason is also the head coach of the Rockvale Middle School Lady Ravens soccer team.
Jason’s favorite Scripture is Lamentations 3:22–24, and his favorite book is The Prodigal God by Tim Keller.

Michael Moore, Minister of Worship
Michael has been in worship ministry for over 25 years, serving in churches in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Virginia, and Georgia. He has a passion for leading people to encounter God through worship, and feels that everyone should have the opportunity to experience powerful, God-centered worship.
He is also a member of the Steering Team for The Experience Conference, a conference created by worshippers for worshippers that has over 1,000 attendees each year.
He is a self proclaimed “Disney Freak”, enjoys traveling, watching sports, playing Fantasy Football, and spending time with family.
Michael’s partner in ministry is his wife Kim, who shares His love for leading worship. Together they have six wonderful children: James Michael, Kansas, Katy, Justen, Kennedy, and Kimmee.
His favorite scriptures are Romans 8:28 and Isaiah 26:3

Chris Marks, Associate Pastor to Students
Chris is originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was brought to Tennessee when he decided to pursue music education at Belmont University. Chris and his wife Emily both work at Rockvale High School where Chris teaches music and Emily teaches English. They have two big dogs, Roxy and Levi. Chris and Emily enjoy being outdoors, running, and playing music and board games together.
One of Chris’ favorite Bible passages is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. Some of his favorite theologians are John Piper, Charles Spurgeon and C.S. Lewis.

Hal Sandifer, Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Families
For the past 25 years, Hal has worked as a video producer and director in the Christian publishing industry. Working in ministry and serving as a lay-leader and teacher for many years, in 2014 Hal felt a special calling into pastoral ministry. Hal loves ministering to families and teaching all age groups from children through adults. Along with supply preaching, he regularly teaches adult and children bible studies, and co-leads the church’s Trail Life troop, which is part of a national Christian youth scouting program.
Hal and his wife Melissa were married in 1996 and have three children: Jack, Joshua, and Levi. They are a homeschooling family and love learning and playing together. Along with spending time with his family, Hal loves movies from the classics to contemporary films.
Hal’s favorite Scripture is James 1:22, and some of his favorite authors include: John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, and Charles Spurgeon.

Lynn Battle, Ministry Assistant
Lynn Battle, ministry assistant, has been serving Westwood for more than 20 years. She and her husband, Gary, have been married since 1971, and they have two children and seven grandchildren.
In addition to helping Jason, Michael, & Chris, Lynn faithfully serves in the preschool and children’s department.
Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 16:11.
