Operation Christmas Child

It’s that time of the year again! Every year, we participate in Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child.” This is a great opportunity to show children around the world the love of Christ.

How to Pack Your Shoebox Gift

Step One: Find a shoebox. Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.

Step Two: Girl or boy? Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.

Step Three: Fill with giftsSelect a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. For more gift suggestions, click here.

Step Four: Pray. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.

Step Five: Drop your box off at Westwood! Drop your box, along with $9 to cover shipping and project costs, off at the church by October 29.
